Civitta Lithuania and Estonia organized the first Rail Baltica Business Network Event in Vilnius on the 27th of October, 2017, which took place in one of the greatest FinTech community workspaces – Rise Vilnius. Transport, logistics and industry representatives gathered to hear about the project of the century and its opportunities.
European Commission representative, Head of Unit Transport Networks & Directorate general for Mobility and Transport Jean-Louis Colson opened the event with a keynote introduction to Rail Baltica project. Consequently, Civitta representatives, partners Ervinas Skikunas and Meelis Niinepuu introduced Rail Baltica’s importance to Rail Baltica countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland.
Local Railway industry representative, Country Manager for Lithuania and Poland & a Head of Rail Baltica Rail Branch in Lithuania, Arturas Vilimas presented importance of the project for Baltic States & Europe. Finally, another local representative, Rail Baltica Project Department Director, Arenijus Jackus enlightened audiences about Rail Baltica’s importance to Lithuania.
A great networking with coffee and sweet snacks took place right after the presentations, where industry representatives discussed about Rail Baltica with speakers and experts. The purpose of such events, is to inform local businesses about the project, hear out their expectations and build Rail Baltica’s future together
