A special session „Rail Baltica potential for the development of railway transport and business in Poland“ took place on November 23, 2017 as part of the VII Railway Congress in Warsaw.
The annual railway congress Kongres Kolejowy gathered ca. 750 participants from both the institutional and commercial railway sectors of Poland. The special „Infrastructure“ session this year solely focused on the topic of Rail Baltica.
The speakers addressing ca. 180 attendees of the session were Jakub Siwiński, Policy Officer of the European Commission (DG MOVE) and Indrek Orav, CEO of OÜ Rail Baltic Estonia. Both speakers focused on Rail Baltica as the new transport corridor within the European TEN-T core network.
The presentations were followed by a panel discussion on the same subject with Indrek Orav, Rail Baltica Country Manager for Poland Arturas Vilimas and board member of PKP Energetyka S.A., Polska Leszek Hołda as panelists.
The organizer of RBBN Session was Instytut Innowacyjnosci Polska – a sub-contractor in Poland of the advising consortium under the Call for Tenders No MOVE/B1/2017-397 financed by the European Commission (DG-MOVE).
