Members of the Rail Baltica Business Network Estonia (RBBN) visited the largest Rail Baltica construction projects in Latvia – the new main railway station in Riga city centre and the RB passenger terminal at the Riga International Airport.
According to Tõnis Tamme, Member of the Board of RBBN and Partner at TRINITI law firm, it was an excellent opportunity to get an on-the-spot overview and feel of the progress of the infrastructure project of the century in Latvia. He gladly noted the great interest among the members of the business network in participating in the study visit. According to Tamme, the program of the visit also included meetings with Latvian entrepreneurs interested in Rail Baltica, Estonian Ambassador to Latvia Erik Marmei and political scientist, lecturer and former member of the Latvian Parliament Veiko Spolitis.
The 20 members of the RBBN business delegation were also hosted by the Rail Baltica joint venture of the three Baltic countries – RB Rail AS, whose management gave an overview of the current status of the project and plans for the coming years at their headquarters in central Riga.
